Problems with fleets

This may seem like a dumb question to anyone who knows the game, but I've only been playing for 2 days:

How do you get your fleet to follow you to another system?

I've tried all the commands in the fleet control panel, but most of the time when I warp out, the ships stay where they are, only occasionally do they follow. This is getting a bit frustrating 'cos I've got a planet to defend and no way to do it!

This is how you really do it. ;D

You need to go to earth and look for the brown spaceship thing northwest of Earth.
Hail it and click the two arrows at the bottom of the box to select a ship in your fleet. Click on the arrows next to the name of the system until u get to the system you want to send it to.
Click on thepicture of a ship next to the planet to send the ship to the selected system.

Note: There is another brown starship somewhere in a Klingon star system.

The brown Klingon ship is in the Quonos system ;D
