Hey Vex,
Awesome game(s), they've kept me hooked for a week so far (which is a lot for me), but one thing's held me back from progressing too far. There is a bug where, after a certain stardate/game time, you are unable to purchase ships for your fleet (neither from others' planets/shipyards/etc, nor from your own). Well, I should say that you CAN purchase them, but the game freezes, then starts randomizing every graphic on the screen, ultimately resulting in the need to restart the whole thing. I'm sure you're aware of this bug, but was just wondering if it's been fixed/is being fixed.

It's been fixed. And it happened after you lost one of your ships. I don't know if NG has the fixed one up yet but offline is fixed.

Kill all stations and ships until the planet has 0 strength.

Vex,
Could you please make the destruction of planets easier??? I mean, sitting there for a couple of hours to destroy a planet with about 5000 strenght doesn't sit too well with me. Maybe someway of bombing the planet??

A game is supposed to be challenging. That's the thing... it is not challenging, it is tedious. I can easily sit there destroying enemy ships and repairing mine but do I really want to take the time??? NO! I want to be able to move on, destroying 1000 enemy craft to being able to colonize a crappy planet sucks. I think if you destroy all the defenses, ie: Bases and whatever amount of enemy craft there was when you warped in, then you should be able to take over, but no, sit for 2 hours trying to take 1 of 30 planets... not fun or challenging, but tedious. |

I think Ive played the new version here, but still get that ship bug thing AFTER buying a few ships. Do any of you have have the same problem?

I've destroyed all stations on a planet but i cant attack the pkanet :S That isn't enough... according to present game rules, you will have to destroy all enemy craft until the strenght of the system is 0 and then warp out and back in to teleport your crew unto the planet surface. As I said before, a tedious task, made unberable by the fact that only like 50 strenght is taken away when you destroy a decent sized craft... crappy but true. |
